SOME ACTUAL EXAMPLES OF HOW THE HIGH TECH NETWORK. . .
(A) SAVES OUR CUSTOMERS MONEY WHENEVER POSSIBLE
(B) SOLVES OUR CUSTOMERS PROBLEMS!
(C) HELPS PROTECT OUR CUSTOMERS FROM HEADACHES-OR WORSE!
INTRODUCTION: This Contractor Network has been in existence since 2003 (under different d.b.a. & business plan) and has a proven track record of saving our customers money; solving problems; and protecting our customers from headaches-or even disasters. My thirty years of knowledge, experience and contacts as a contractor myself is now put to work for you! The next few pages will illustrate using real life examples showing how the High Tech Network achieved all three of the goals above.
(A) PROJECT EXAMPLES: SAVING OUR CUSTOMERS MONEY!
(A-1) SISTERS OF NOTRE DAME, IPSWICH, MA
Main Building Re-Roofing 2003
*Sisters of Notre Dame was about to sign a contract with a contractor who proposed tearing off the existing tar and gravel roof which was directly mopped to a concrete deck without insulation. High Tech Network was brought in and asked whether an infra-red survey was conducted to confirm or deny the presence of water and the need to tear off the original roof. High Tech referred Sisters of Notre Dame to a Network infra-red company and the results were negative.
RESULT: SAVINGS OF $70,000
In addition, the Network roofing contractor referred by High Tech saved additional substantial amounts for the new specification which was provided by another referral—Firestone Technical who wrote a tight spec everyone could bid on.
RESULT: SAVINGS OF $5-$10,000
SPECIAL NOTE: The project went very smoothly and the second phase will probably be done in 2005. For reference on above: call Superintendent Paul Pappas at 508-641-5611 (cell) or Sister Catherine at 978-356-4381.
(A-2) EASTERN NAZERENE COLLEGE
Re-Roofing 2004
*Keith Farthing of Eastern Nazarene College tested the High Tech Network using a specification provided by Firestone (referred by our Network) and having both network and non network contractors bid.
RESULT: NETWORK CONTRACTOR WAS LOW BID
Since High Tech has the experience to pick the “right contractor for the right job” a Network Contractor was once again low bid. *This has been our experience. Network Contractors are either low bid or very competitive as mentioned time and again in our letters of recommendation provided in this package.
(A-3) SCULLY SIGNAL, WILMINGTON, MA
Re-Roofing 2003
*Once again, as above, Firestone provided the spec and numerous network and non network bidders participated.
RESULT: ONCE AGAIN, NETWORK CONTRACTOR WAS LOW BID
Scully Signal was very happy with the quality workmanship of the Network Contractor provided.

*SOLUTION: A High Tech Network Referral in 2002 who is still servicing the college today.
(B-2) MARRIOTT LONG WHARF, BOSTON, MA:
Engineering Referral for Waterproofing/Masonry/Roofing Project
Contact: Kevin McLaughlin @ 617-371-9673
*PROBLEM: Marriott Long Wharf needed an engineer with the experience/background to analyze, write specs, and oversee a $3 million dollar waterproofing, masonry, and roofing project.
*SOLUTION: High Tech Network referred Marriott an engineer with just the background they required. Project completed/received Project of the Year Award from Sarnafil.
(B-3) NORTHRUP GRUMMAN: TASC-READING, MA.

(C) PROJECT EXAMPLES: HELPING CUSTOMERS AVOID HEADACHES
(C-1) PACIFIC PACKAGING, WILMINGTON, MA
Large Re-Roofing Project Approximate 125,000 Sq. Ft.
Contact: Kevin Logan, E-mail to klogan@pacificpkg.com
NOTE: *High Tech had been doing repairs under High Tech Roofing Inc. for Pacific Packaging. High Tech had downsized to a repair company and started the Network in 2003. *This was the first Network Project. We referred the specification writing to Firestone Technical and had our Network Production Roofer bid the specification.
*PROBLEM: Network Production roofer was low bid except for one contractor who planned on leaving heavy gravel in place; not doing an infra-red; using ½” fiberboard instead of isocyanurate insulation and just “going over” the entire roof. Owners told us if we “met this bid/spec” the Network Contractor could have the job.
*SOLUTION: High Tech and Network Contractor refused since infrared was crucial to remove wet insulation and ½” fiberboard would “suck up moisture” like a sponge. Convinced owners that approach would result in premature failure FIRESTONE INSPECTOR, when later informed of the fiberboard approach, said: “You’d be lucky if it lasted two years.” In addition, infrared pointed out saturated insulation that needed to be removed and replaced.
*RESULT: TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND PREMATURE FAILURE OF ROOF SYSTEM AVERTED
$200,000 PLUS SAVINGS!!….
(C-2) CAMPION CENTER JESUIT COMMUNITY, WESTON, MA
Re-Roofing Project 2004
Contact: John Toole or Fr. Wozniak @781-788-4722
*PROBLEM: Very difficult re-roofing project with POTENTIAL HEADACHES. The roof was very high, had low thresholds; there was ponding; and, rebar structural concrete deck made pre-drilling virtually impossible.
*SOLUTION: Firestone Technical and four Network Roofers put heads together and came up with specification to solve all problems.
*RESULT: Low bid was very competitive…way under budget. High Tech further suggested a pre bid meeting and even referred Campion to the right foreman for that project within the successful bidder’s organization. It was a very smooth operation and an excellent quality installation, despite all the obstacles.
