A NOTE ABOUT HIGH TECH CONTRACTOR REFERRAL SERVICE: WHAT WE ARE AND WHAT WE ARE NOT

• First HTCRN is a “Contractor Referral Service” that attempts to put together the needs of its clients with a select group of contractors in our network.

• HTCRN IS NOT THE FOLLOWING:

• A MANUFACTURER’S REP…
• AN ENGINEER OR FORMAL CONSULTANT…

• ANY “ADVICE” BY HTCRN IS GENERAL IN NATURE AND ANY FORMAL CONSULTING IS DONE BY OUR NETWORK ENGINEERS OR CONSULTANTS.

• THIS UNDERSTANDING AS TO HTCRN’S ROLE IS SOLIDIFIED BY CONTRACTORS AND CLIENTS SIGNING A STANDARD “HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT.” WE CAN THEN KEEP THIS A LOW COST SERVICE WITHOUT THE NEED FOR EXPENSIVE “ERRORS AND OMISSIONS” CONSULTING INSURANCE. This agreement basically outlines the self-evident fact that we are a referral service and any contractual agreements are between our clients and the contractors in our network—not High Tech Contractor Referral Network. If a contractor or client is unable or unwilling to sign such an agreement HTCRN policy will be to withdraw its services from said contractor or client.

• LEVERAGE & CUSTOMER ADVOCATE: AS A CUSTOMER YOU REPRESENT POSSIBLY ONE JOB; AS A REFERRAL SERVICE WE MAY REPRESENT MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO OUR CONTRACTORS GIVING US POTENTIAL GREATER LEVERAGE IF PROBLEMS OCCUR…(no guarantees of course!) In the unlikely event a Network Contractor acts in an unprofessional manner please notify us so we can investigate and if necessary remove that contractor from membership.

• CONFLICT RESOLUTION: Hopefully this service will be kept to a minimum! However, misunderstandings happen and HTCRN is willing to help with “conflict resolution.” Our primary allegiance is to our customers but as an ex contractor with almost thirty years experience HTCRN may be in a position to help resolve any conflicts in a “win-win” manner.
