These infra-red or nuclear roof analysis surveys detect the moisture in the insulation and other parts of the roof system often allowing the option of just removing the wet areas. This can result in substantial savings. In addition, an infra red roof survey can prevent costly “mistakes” such as “going over” a wet existing roof with a new rubber roof. Failures from fasteners rusting out and letting go commonly occur when wet roofs are improperly “gone over” and manufacturers often void their warranties in such situations.
